Pentecost at Home

Last Sunday we celebrated Pentecost! In church, Pastor Vincent used the Time for Children during the service to talk with the  about how Pentecost is known as the birthday of the church. They celebrated by singing "Happy Birthday" and blowing out the candles. (The cake was consumed during fellowship time after church).

Pentecost was also celebrated by those attending the church's family overnight retreat at Camp Crestfield. We read the story of Pentecost from the Shine On children's Bible and then each family was given a Pentecost in a Bar to take home and explore.

Each bag contained everything needed for reading, sharing, and reflecting on the Pentecost story.

The bags included story cards, related scripture passages to reflect upon, and crafts to create the story at home.  Instructions were included on how to use the bag.
