Sunday School Weekly Update - March 27

Dear Families of our Grade School Class 

 After our opening prayer and song, we looked at the rock seen in the first picture. Everyone agreed this was a very dull and boring rock. 

The outside did not tell us about what we would find inside this rock. Only a person who is knowledgeable about rocks would have any idea what is inside.

When the rock was cut open large amethyst crystals were found. 

In our Bible lesson from 1 Samuel 16:1-13.  We learned that, just as with our rock, God not only sees what is outside, but, also sees what is inside us. Everyone was surprised when God chose David for this special job.

The class then went to the kitchen to bake cookies with a surprise inside. While the cookies baked, each child identified and shared with us all the gifts inside each one of them that others might not see. Take time this week to share with each member of your family the gifts inside. What about identifying the gifts we see inside each other.
