Family Art Nights - Animals

Family Art Nights in August concluded by exploring the theme of "Celebrating God's Creation" with our event for families that include a meal, music, art, and sharing scripture.  August's art night theme was "Animals."

Our Scripture for the night:
God placed streams that gush from the mountains that give water for all the animals to drink.  There the wild donkeys quench their thirst, and the birds nest beside the streams and sing among the branches...the tender grass grows up to feed the cattle... The Lord planted the cedars of Lebanon. They are tall and flourishing. There the birds make their nests, the storks in the firs. High in the mountains are pastures for wild goats, and badgers burrow in among the rocks and find protection...He sends the night...when all the forest folks come out. The young lions roar for their food, but they are dependent on the Lord... O Lord, what a variety you have made! And in wisdom you have made them all! Earth is full of your riches.
From Psalm 104

Our night included crafts, Bible stories, an animal scavenger hunt. We also had a visit from special guests Luna the therapy dog and her owner, Tricia.   We also had these wonderful coloring sheets from our resident artist Ralph Pistorius.
