Sunday School Weekly update - Palm Sunday (April 9)
Dear Families
of
the Children
in our Sunday School Class,
Today on Palm Sunday,
our class visited four stations
in
the classroom, with readings from Matthew
21:1–11 and 26:14–27:66: We first talked about Jesus riding into Jerusalem on a donkey, then Linda
served everyone a snack of bread or pretzels
and juice – as a reminder of the supper in the upper room.
The next station was the Mount of Olives and Gethsemane; the picture showed Jesus in earnest prayer
while the disciples slept. The last station was
at Joseph’s
tomb.
Today’s lesson included some activities to be taken home, as possibilities
for Holy Week.
Not everyone
got to finish cutting these apart and
placing these in paper bags,
so you can find
the activities here in case you want to do some of these.
Have a blessed Holy Week,
Linda
May,
Chris Pistorius
and (in spirit) Verna Robinson
(who is recovering well from surgery)
