Family Art Night - Up in the Sky!

Family Art Nights have begun! This summer we are exploring the theme of "Celebrating God's Creation" with a monthly event for families that include a meal, music, art, and sharing scripture.

June's art night theme was "Up in the Sky."

Our scripture from the night was from the Genesis:

And God said, "Let the Vapors separate to form the sky above and the oceans below,"... then God said, "Let there be lights in the sky to give light to this earth and to identify the day and the night; they shall bring about the seasons of the earth, and mark the days and years" ... God made two huge lights, the sun and moon, to shine upon the earth...he also made the stars.
Genesis 1:6,14,16

Our night included a drum circle lead by special guest Dr. Mark Swift.  We completed a mission project and packed care kits for the homeless with items donated by the Deacons of our church. Our crafts for the night included making clouds, night sky views, sun catchers, and bird feeders.  We also had these wonderful coloring sheets from our resident artist Ralph Pistorius.
