Youth Sunday School

Here is a peak into what's happening in the youth Sunday school class.  The follow was 'stolen" from Amy Whipple's Facebook status.

"So, I'm teaching the junior/senior high Sunday School class. Today, we had all girls. (We're mostly girls in general, but our stray boys were gone, sans my co-teacher and special guest Todd.)
The thing about this group of girls is that they're all wonderful. They really are. They're all smart in their own ways. And sporty in their own ways. And artistic in their own ways. They're growing and changing and sometimes sure of who they are and sometimes not at all and they're some...times awkward in that endearing way of being up (as I used to think the lyrics of a Care Bears song read).
They made strikingly individual collages filled with things and ideas and people they love and spoke of women and entertainment that empower them. We chattered as we worked, tossing each other magazine clippings that we knew illuminated someone better than ourselves. We got to talk about Amy Poehler's smartgirlsattheparty and how to bring that concept into their own smart, beautiful, strong lives. I hope they remember these things about themselves and each other as they continue on their journeys.
So, this is my getting-to-know-you collage. Whole lot of TV. Some stray Bible-y thoughts. And Krista Tippett.
We are who we are (or at least we are who we are via a year's worth of Entertainment Weeklies, a stray Rolling Stone, and some kind of pastoral magazine/catalog). It's going to be a good year."
