This week's lesson is from the Gospel of Mark and is the story of Jesus coming to Jerusalem. This is the Sunday before we celebrate Easter and we call it Palm Sunday.
Things to talk about before the story:
- Have you ever been to a parade?
- Have you ever been to a town when someone important came to town? What happens?
- What do you remember about how we celebrate Palm Sunday in our worship service?

Following the story, here are some questions you can ask:
What did Jesus ask the two disciples to do?
I wonder how they were able to take a colt away without people getting upset. What do
What did the people lay on the ground in front of Jesus?
I wonder why they did this. What do you think?
I wonder if Jesus took the colt back to its owner. What do you think?
I wonder why the people shouted, “Hosanna! Blessings on the one who comes in the
name of the Lord!” (Mark 11:9, CEB). What do you think?
Last year I created this virtual activity for Holy Week. Give it a try. You have to answer correctly to move on to the next part of the story.
